Family Events
The East High Street Elementary School community believes that family engagement is an important part of every child's educational experience. Throughout the school year, East High hosts a variety of events that encourage families to connect with teachers, celebrate student learning, and participate in the life of our school.

Upcoming Family Events
Kindergarten Orientation
Date: August 20, 2026, from 4-5 p.m.
This special event is a great opportunity for our newest students to meet classmates, explore the playground, and become familiar with the school in a relaxed setting before the first day of school. Enjoy a popsicle while connecting with other kindergarten families and school staff.
Open House
Date: TBD
This event is for students in grades K-2 and their families. It includes self-guided tours of the school and an opportunity to meet the faculty and administration.
Back-to-School Night
Date: September 16, 2026, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Provides an opportunity to meet teachers, learn about classroom expectations, explore the school, and receive important information to help your child have a successful year.
K-2 Night at the Football Game
Date: October 2, 2026
Students will have the opportunity to participate in special pregame activities, cheer on the Bears, and enjoy an exciting night of school spirit with classmates and families.
East High Street Elementary Fun Run
Date: October 9, 2026
Students and families are invited to participate in the East High Fun Run, a school-wide event that promotes fitness, school spirit, and community while raising funds to support the East High PTO and student programs throughout the school year.
East High Family Night at the Scholastic Book Fair
Date: October 22, 2026
Families are invited to explore the Scholastic Book Fair together during this special evening event. Browse a wide selection of books, encourage a love of reading, and help support literacy initiatives that benefit East High students.
